vore rambles time this time about reformation

This might sound controversial to a lot of people since I know lots of people like their oc get reformed.
I know I might lose some watchers when I post this journal and I really hope no one gets mad over my opinion. I completely respect other's preferences and opinions regarding vore.
The first one will be regarding reformation in digestion.
I am seriously not a big fan of reformation. To me, it's literally a cop-out. Most people who happen to like it so they solely avoid the "death" of their character. What is the point of digesting prey in the first place if you are just going to bring them back afterwards? Where is the impact of digestion? No actual consequence from being digested? Where is that in vore?
I see a lot of times when the prey is reformed, the prey just becomes a endless food source for the predator and a cycle that goes on and on and on being digested and reformed again and again and again. For the fattening aspect of it, I am not a fan of prey rubbing the pred's belly after their old body is being digested or watching their body being digested after being reformed.
If you are going to reform your character have it so the prey has side effects from the digestion and having them reformed instead of being reformed perfectly.
Back when I disliked digestion, I didn't even like it even with reformation because I always saw it as "cop-out" rather than feeling relieved that my character will be back.
In my opinion reformation is okay as long there's post-digestion involved before the prey gets reformed and the prey wouldn't be reformed immediately after being digested. I'd have them be pudge instead or any other side effect.
I rather be spat out than be digested if I am just going to be back afterwards. I find digestion pointless if there's no consequences involved. It takes away the impact of digestion if the prey just comes out perfectly unharmed in any way.
This is all my opinion, I have nothing against people who like reformation. It's just not for me that much.

i only like fatal and digestion for the most part if its unwilling prey.
I’m even starting to shy away from being a prey
I am very picky when it comes to vore. A lot of people might dislike me for that but that's okay. I am aware that I may turn away a lot of people because of that but I rather stay true to my preferences than "change" them for people.
I’m trying to just figure out my preferences, but I think I mostly know which way I lean when it comes to it
Though, honestly, it never really bothers me when I see that. Probably because we've all grown up with video games and "extra lives", and with the many deaths of Kenny McCormick on South Park, Krillin on Dragon Ball, Carl on Aquateen Hunger Force, etc., etc., etc.
Granted, I do agree with you that it's a cheap cop-out to just name-drop reformation. I've just seen death as a punch line and/or magic MacGuffins far too many times to be anything but mildly annoyed by it anymore.
