Long time no update... Update
General
Well hello.
Welcome to my life update. My first post in a couple of years if I recall correctly.
A lot has changed in the time period most of you knew me from to today. Mostly to blame from my career choice of the Canadian Armed Forces, (CAF), but a good amount due to growing up.
A couple things to note first:
Firstly I am far less.. touch-y and bubble-y. I definitely will accept a hug but if we weren't close... Please respect I don't wanna be touched without mutual consent.
Secondly I barely consider myself a furry anymore.
The art is fun, but the only real ties that keep me from ghosting this fandom entirely are the friends I made, (even if we haven't spoken in years I still consider everyone my friend just as strongly as the last time we spoke), and the fact that I truly do enjoy the dancing that started out in this fandom.
My life in the CAF has taken me on many rides- most of them sucked, but they certainly put life in perspective and the few that shined, they shined so bright I can't imagine never having done them.
I became the most fit I had ever been, (completely making it impossible to wear Neerren anymore), attempted to learn French when posted to a French base, failed hard haha, changed trades, met the love of my life, and got posted back to Ontario.
I got hurt really bad in my neck and have become only slightly more fit than when I first started exercising in highschool over a decade ago, (jesus), due to not being able to do any working out for over a year and a half. I'm finally starting my recovery and have started to get back into my workouts... But the downtime and pain definitely put me in a darker spot for the year with the injury threatening to have me released.
However my SO has been my saving grace these past couple of years and without her I think this injury would have hurt me far more than just getting fat haha.
I wish that I could attend more cons, but leaving Canada even for the States is a mission for trying to line up my leave correctly, nevermind the costs.
I truly miss all of my Statebound friends and miss so much competing with them on stage. I hope I can see you all again.
My future plans has me tight budgeted as I am going to do University courses to get a Bachelor so that I can commission to be an Officer. Honestly makes me kick myself for not going to Uni after highschool.
I can't say expect much out of this. Honestly I forgot FA existed for a while. I'll likely never fully leave this fandom, but I can definitely say it is taking a seat towards the back of my bus of life.
I hope you all have been well and that these hard times pass quickly.
