Keep in mind all your personal info you have to fill out for the DMCA is sent to the person reposting/pretending to be you.

So your full legal name, full address, email, phone number, IP etc

Usually just asking your followers to mass report will get it automatically suspended and they have to PROVE they're not in the wrong. Because they can't they don't and that's case closed usually.

DMCA fraud is absolutely rampant. Random individuals often impersonate real people for the purpose of taking down content even if content is legal. There are no real repercussions of this activity either. Asking people to put in real credentials before filing might help slow this down a bit and add a speed bump, but it's still widely abused for the purpose of censorship and extortion. If anything, more needs to be done to slow this sort of activity down.

Yeah but you said your credentials are sent to the person receiving the DMCA. Logically that should NOT be how it works. Like, yeah you should provide your info to the site you're telling "hey this person is NOT me", but that info should not be sent to the person impersonating you.

Yeah, if anything, the person reporting for DMCA abuse sometimes gets the personal info of the account being accused. I'm not familiar with personal information being sent to the accused account though. I misread and thought that the information was simply being provided to the platform instead. Are we sure the information being sent to the flagged account is what happens on Twitter? I'm guessing things like name is sent which is fine, but addresses, etc.?

Remember that a DMCA takedown is a form of legal action, it's more akin to starting a lawsuit¹ than simply asking the host to clean up a problem.

For legal action to be taken anonymously, you have to be able to show that there is a real risk to you if your identity is revealed.

1: Not a surprise, given that it was created as a lower cost first legal option to fix the problem where you pretty much had to sue because the site would go "it's not us, we don't police this sort of thing.²" Meaning the only step beyond asking the poster himself to take it down was to send a full cease and desist letter, (which meant bringing a John Doe lawsuit if you didn't know who the poster was in RL).

2: There was a good reason they didn't. The precedent in the US was that any site-side filtering based on content meant that the site was responsible for everything.

That account has several animations other that h0rs3's work. Also I'm a little wary he might be tryin to profit off the animators work by claiming them as his own to entice people to pay for more content.

Good to know. I'm not sure what people get out of trying to take credit for the work of others, but when you're good, I guess people want to either emulate you, or try to mess with you. Hope nothing more than your work gets posted to it, but at least if anyone wants to do anything devious you've stated that's not your account.

I had someone post pictures of me (In various costumes) on a social network, saying it was them. A friend notified me, and the account was flagged and removed. You should be able to do the same. Alias or not, someone is pretending to be you, which is criminal pretty much anywhere in the world.
