The furry feedback loop

Just heard about the Tyra Banks show. Saw the clip in question online: http://www.poetv.com/video.php?vid=66909
Firstly I want to express my overall disgust that this kind of show exists. My god, what drivel! No wonder the average US citizen gets a reputation for having the IQ equivalent to a brick.
I would also like to express my delight at having a couple of furries confident enough to show up on a TV show of some kind, even if it was in this context.
Now then, I can understand why furries are generally quite reactionary towards criticism because there is a lot of it and a lot of misrepresentation. However, the over reactions to tend to fan the flames a bit. This causes more criticism and more reaction.
I would like to undertake a study into this effect if I could somehow devise a numerical measure for this. It seems to be an interesting example of feedback loops and chaos theory. TV shows seem to provide perturbations although I would think they are indeed related to the whole cycle...
I suspect most of the drama is due to the large amount of confused 13-17 year old kids finding their way to the fandom and the highly socially inept among us making prominent entries on the web and statements in other places. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
Contempt, expressing his contempt.

But the "delight" part.
Thats not good that they've showed up on TV.
Thats VERY BAD that they've showed up on TV and created a biased point of view:
"Furries are people who fuck in animal costumes with strategically placed(lol) holes".
Even if 50% of furries are like this they SHOULD NEVER say it about whole fandom. Cos its never a 100%. Not even 90%.
Same for anime.
Lets go to TV and say : "We like anime. Anime is cartoonish hard porn where little girls are raped by tentacles all day long".
P.S. Im not sure if I'm furry now(From their POV). I don't fuck in animal suits and its not the porn what brought me here. Hows what?
Most tend to shy away, leaving folks to speculate.
