I don't know what it is, but smaller lines somehow make my artwork look more "professional" (which is subjective at any rate). Larger lines don't make my artwork any less valid, but they seem to have a toonier aspect if that makes any sense.

Either way, it's always fun to experiment with different looks and such. :)

Precisely. :) I like that toony aesthetic, but I also like realism. Not sure if you can view NSFW, but I have two examples of the same characters. I went for the cartoony aesthetic in this piece here...

If it's anthro/animal etc NSFW, I avoid that since it's not my type of explicity for reasons, only into Human/kemon stuff for that.. x_x

yea agreed with all of that. toony large lines work for some styles like MLP, then you have disney who uses 2-4 size lines. i'd suggest switching between the two lineart sizes depending on what you are drawing
