Hey there guys!
Recently I came across more and more artists who just didn't seem to be able to deduct all the required character traits from a bunch of reference images. This may include the count of something the character has, the colors, specific details or other traits such as scales/fluff/mane/highlight placement.. you name it.
Funnily this has especially been something to occur in YCH commissions. Like the name suggests, those should be YOUR character here. So basically one should be able to study the provided references and extract noteworthy features from them to respect in the YCH picture. Otherwise the whole point of a YCH wouldn't make much sense, would it?
Due to this, I would like to highly recommend each artist out there to:
This follows a simple idea. Sometimes you just miss something. Sometimes there are tiny character details, that are important, but hard to catch.
If you, as an artist, kindly request a bunch of character information details that are very important, but can be missed easily, it should make life easier for both sides!
