Update on Anim Commission Selection Process
5 years ago
This is a copy paste from my twitter.
From the start of taking on animation commissions, my process has been to put all the names on the forms into a wheel and randomise who will be the person getting the commissions. After that person is selected, they are put on a cooldown so that it allows others to have a chance. While this has worked for the commissions I've taken, I can feel it weighing on me. The important thing for taking on work is to keep it fun to prevent burnout, and the current system I have doesn't really do that, I want to be able to approach the work I'm doing with enthusiasm.
From today, I will be changing the system as such:- I will now start selecting the commissions I would prefer to work on. To compensate, I will also be increasing the cooldown period to 5 openings to prevent someone hogging the slots. This should hopefully allow me to keep a fresh mind, excited to get into working, and not exhaust myself on animating. Hope you all understand my reasoning for this and continue to support my content. Thank y'all for following and hearing me out.
