Perhaps it's just me..

But the main message I seem to be getting from the people howling over the fact that they cannot troll Chewfox into the ground is this:
"Stay in your closet, you insensitive shit!"
Since was being in a closet a positive thing? If I don't want to be in a closet, I'll come out of it, thank you very much, and accept the freedoms it grants along with the negative stereotypes I will also be associating myself with. That's what I have a backbone for.
Like it or not, the furry fandom has some negative views stereotypes. But then, so does the LGBT community, and I don't see people scrambling to get back into that particular closet.
And yes, I'm happily outside that closet too.
And perhaps that's my message to those screaming about public opinion: Perhaps it isn't Chewie who should go back into her closet - perhaps it's you.

FA+

At least, that's my take.
Besides, fursuit sex? Compared to some of the more mainstream kinks, that's virtually vanilla! :-P Certainly nothing to scream about being revealed.
(Perhaps it's a radical idea, but what the fandom needs is more people popping up and confessing to kinky-but-harmless stuff like that, and settle the sexual side of the furry fandom into a known slot like light BDSM, at which point people will stop paying attention.)
It's called the furry fandom for a reason, and extremists who consider a subject of interest their life have always been part of a fandom's problem.
People assume I make animal noises IRL or own a fursuit when they hear I'm a furry. Sure I'm into the porn but it stays online...
My participation in the fandom mostly consists of spending a few hours a day on FA, chatting to people, and my desktop wallpaper. No fursuit, no furry art on the walls (porn or otherwise), no random animal noises
I'll still admit to being a member of said fandom though, no matter how bad the image gets. Because face it, compared to some of my MAINSTREAM kinks, the public image of the fandom is positively tame XD
I'd say no, personally :) Each to their own!
