Terms of Service
Last updated: 8. February 2023
1. Before Contacting Me
1.1. Things I Will Not Draw
There are certain topics and themes I either do not feel comfortable drawing.
These are for example:
- Underage porn
- Extreme violence and gore
- Weapons involved in erotic or pornographic scenes
- Bodily fluids like vomit or excrement (I make an exception for urine)
- "Real" rape i.e. scenes in which obviously an actual rape is committed - outside role playing situations between consenting partners
- Inflation
1.2. Refusal
I reserve the right to refuse to work on a particular image or for a particular person without
explanation.
1.3. Contact
I prefer to conduct my commission business through Telegram.
My handle on Telegram is Artonis
You can inquire there for business questions, expect slow or no answers on weekends.
2. Payment
2.1. Procedure
I ONLY accept payment by Paypal.
Send me your Paypal email address, I will Invoice you.
Tips are accepted and appreciated if you feel the desire to give them.
2.2. Bits and Pieces
I handle payment upfront.
I do not do payment plans.
3. Process
3.1. First step
After payment I begin work on a rough sketch. I will first offer you one or several rough
sketches to get the basic poses and desired composition.
I don't mind making new roughs at this stage up to 3 rounds.
Next you will receive the finished sketch for review. I might send you intermediate steps
if I have doubts or if the image is very complex.
If you are not happy with the sketch I will adjust it to your notes.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE *NO* COMPLETE REDRAWS AT THIS STAGE, UNLESS I MADE A GLARING MISTAKE DESPITE
BEING SUPPLIED WITH SUFFICIENT DETAILS.
This should happen in the rough sketch phase.
If you are not happy with the sketch even after all alotted redraws and adjustments, I will refund a MAXIMUM of 50% of the commission price.
3.2. On to coloring/shading
This part might vary in length depending on what color quality you ordered, but the process is essentially the same.
Once the final sketch is approved, I will begin coloring in flat colors. I will send you those
for approval. Please note that the colors might not fit PRECISELY in brightness and intensity
to any references you might have sent to me depending on what sort of light situation I expect for the image.
Once the flats are approved, I will finish a rough shading test. I will also send this for approval.
Then the final shading commences. I might send you updates on the way as I color. This is not guaranteed, however, as I sometimes complete artwork in one sitting.
Sometimes I break my own rules and charge ahead without waiting for confirmation, especially if I happen to have a large block of drawing time available and can't get a quick response from you.
Should I make mistakes or unwanted changes in this situation, I will fix it and it does not count towards the limitations mentioned.
At completion you may ask for SMALL adjustments. Again, if you are remain unhappy with the
image after my adjustments, there will be NO REFUNDS.
Should you dispute with PayPal despite me trying to accomodate your wishes, I will blacklist you.
4. Odds and Ends
4.1. The Happy End
A pleasant experience for the commissioner will increase the likelihood of them coming back for more
business, so I strive to be as reasonable and friendly as possible.
Conversely, being a reasonable and friendly commissioner increases my likelihood of preferring
your business. I can and do give good repeat commissioners preferential treatment when I sell commission slots.
4.2. The Not So Happy End
Should you demand a refund without grounds (according to this TOS) you will be blacklisted.
Should you forget your manners, no matter the reason, you will be blacklisted and blocked on my galleries and social media.
Should you dispute with PayPal despite me trying to accomodate you as described in this TOS, I will blacklist you.
4.3. Rights
You have the right to post your image on your galleries as you see fit, but please link back to me.
You are not allowed to change the image in any way, except for changing its size or to crop it.
If your image is a sketch/line work and you want a different artist to color it, you have to ask me for
permission prior to me beginning work on it and disclose the artist you chose.
If you intend to commercialize the image in any way, for instance to use it in a card game, video game,
book or other media intended for sale or promotion of a commercial product, you MUST negotiate compensation
towards me.
