i'm feeling peaceful so here is a peaceful vent
5 years ago
people talk about inner peace, being calm in your soul, stuff like that, bhuddist monk practice it by meditating, zen gardens are created to help you reach it, most will say that you need to practice or learn how to be and not do...
well the past few years of my life have been rocked by siezures i've had to stop working and stop my formal education, being in this state has slowed me down, and allowed me to see that every day is another day...
it's not about learning or practice, it's about feeling and allowing your body to show you how to find peace within yourself, it's about accepting who you are and realising that you are not the center of the universe, it's about finding a place within yourself where you don't need to stress about things that don't matter...
if you have a job to do, don't worry, if you are committed to doing it, it will happen, even if you don't have the motivation right now...
if you are tired, go to bed, whatever you are rushing to do will be there tomorrow, save your work and go to bed, put down your tools, and lie down, the will you put into something wont backtrack itself while you are away, and taking a break will most likely help you with what you need to do...
time plods on at an even rate, you can rush or procrastinate the time away but no matter what you do, time will roll on, if you have a deadline to meet, commit to hitting it, but don't overwork yourself, space it out, do things in between, make the 'have to' into a 'can do' or a 'want to'...
and don't fear what is coming, time moves on and we are merely floating down the river, we start at the spring, in the womb, and we end at the sea, in the earth. everyone who has every lived has floated down the same river, rapids come at different times, some are eddies in the current, others are waterfalls...
but the river never stops flowing, accepting that you will, one day, end, is a cental part of finding that place within yourself that looks back at you and says:
"welcome home"
and while we each travel different roads, we are all travelling together, our feet sliding over the same stones in different places, the sunlight shining through the same trees at different points...
and when we go, what we are, becomes what comes after us, the water in the river, the stones on the road...
and it is those that we make our seperate journeys with, those that help us up when we trip on the road, those that pull us up from the depths of the riverbed, that truely matter...
the fundamental understanding that we are all one, and our differences bring us together, and that you don't need to fear the future...
because we are all riding those ocean waves together...
and we always will.
Thank you for reading.
