Well I feel good despite putting in some hours at work today. Why? Its because my entire hours at work was spent packaging up face masks for the health care workers on the front lines taking care of COVID19 patients. It feels damn good knowing that what I did today and what I will be doing for the duration of the pandemic will make the difference between life and death. If a doctor, a nurse, a caretaker is saved from getting infected, then it means they can still provide life saving care to patients that need it regardless if they are COVID19 cases or other dire medical cases that require urgent care. I don't give a shit about the additional money I'll see in my paycheck. I would have done this voluntarily if I had to. What I do care about are the folks that will be putting the face masks to use and making sure they can continue to provide care to their patients and put food on the table for their families.
Thank you health care workers. This world needs all of you to do what you do best. Healing the wounds, making well the sick, and saving lives. I'm just happy that I'm doing my part to help you make those things happen.
