How are yewww dealing?

Hey BBF, I have to ask you something. You go to more furry cons than probably anybody I know. I've heard/read from a few people about how the furry fandom is just going down the toilet with SJWs, politics, hate, and divisiveness. I really haven't seen that personally, although I haven't been able to go to a con since MFF 2018. In your travels to conventions and in your interaction with all the furries you know in person and online, have you seen or heard anything that confirms a decline like that in our furry community? I'd really like to know what the truth is but I simply don't get around enough to see for myself. I sincerely hope what I've heard has just been exaggerations of some very isolated incidents. The furry community is like a family to me and the last thing I'd want is for it to get torn apart by haters.

The thing you are observing, like we all do, is that the way people act on social media has changed dramatically - entitlement, hate, witchhunting, accusations without proof, all that has gotten a lot worse. But this is not a furry problem, it's a social media problem that affects all our societies as a whole, no matter what culture, ethnicy, fandom, background.

I have not been able to observe a similar change in furry cons themselves - they have changed a little bit, but that is merely the normal change everything goes through while it exists. Some luminaries aren't seen anymore, other ones have taken the stage. Some events are gone, replaced by others.

But at the end of the day, cons are as amazing as they used to be.

Thanks so much for the info. You've put my mind at ease quite a bit. Since I don't use social media, and FA is the only furry site I'm regularly active on, I never see that side of society.
