You should do what you want, but I'd love to see some lighter stuff.

Going to go with lighter myself. I personally enjoy the concept of a character being so comfortable and content/feeling safe in their bondage that merely working up the will to struggle is difficult, nevermind actually escaping if they even manage that much ;)

.....abused into stockholm syndrome and hoplessness so much that they experience feelings of "happiness" from the idea of Not fighting against the overwhelmingly impossible task of getting free.....that's considered "lighter"? lol but probably accurate.
-I Love what you said and your idea. People just Saying and talking about ideas and concepts they like regarding fetish/sexuality is always the best. People talking about and sharing their opinions and feelings about fetishes/sex stuff is more interesting than Most porn and fetish art. People really should and Need to actually just Talk about all this stuff, instead of just looking at all this graphic and often harmful themes and just letting some dumb meme comment be the only thing said about the important and meaningful ideas and feelings regarding sex and sexuality.

Do what you want. Lighter, however, does feel better in some cases. Sometimes you just kinda need that mental lift.

it depends on what you mean by light and dark. It should always be honest about whatever stuff happens in the story, like whether something is harmful, dangerous, or impossible and never to even attempt to do without 'magic' protection if you do some more fantasy based stuff, ya know?
The thing is, sex and stuff Is serious, always, that's just reality. A story about abuse being treated lightly is a no no. I mean a storry can still be fun and merry and happy Without trying too hard to pretend constantly that "oh that murder/rape is no big deal, it's fine, hahaha, look they ENJOY IT, so that means its harmless and ok! why? it just is! it isn't harmful or dangerous in Any way! Don't even bother trying to look up if sex can ever cause any harm, because it can't! Don't waste your time learning sex safety! That's lame and being too serious! Hahaha, boy it sure is fun and light-hearted how we're obsessing and constantly repeating the idea that sex and sexual activities and fetish stuff is All completely harmless and should be left at that!"

Things can be light with good story telling and humor and events. Things like, idk, true love, genuine happiness, and characters honestly talking about and addressing their feelings, concerns, confusion About the sex and kink stuff.

i like light, happy stories alot actually, especially when done well. I liked your dark story telling, but I think you might have the ability to tell a light, fantasy themed story very well....or at least it's worth trying to do so......
