Wish list and summer plans
Hey, hi, how's it going? Back with another one of these bits of text and curious writings! Hope you're all doing well despite the ongoing isolation and whatnot!
It's funny how I say I was going to post regular updates and then don't, like the derp I am!
Birthday wish list
In a week yes! May 18th is the date and I turn 27 no less! Been wondering if I should be posting some sort of art wish list here, but then I realized I've already received the best gift possible - your support! <3 Instead, my wish list is going to be a little different..
The wish list
> That you all remain healthy and for this covid-19 situation to be done and over with!
> That you (yes you reading this!) go muster your courage and tell your favourite artist/artists how much you love their art! Doesn't have to be the longest of comments, why a simple "I really like what you draw" or "Love your style!" will do just fine, promise! If there's anything we artists will never get tired of hearing is people telling us how much they enjoy what we do - it warms our hearts every time!
> That I listen to my point above and go tell artists I watch how much I like their work! Yes.. well.. socially I'm not very brave.. I resort to checking the profiles of artists I like frequently, but I never leave a follow or like their art. Regardless, I will do my best to, at the very least, let one artist I like know I love their art!
And that's it! I still welcome gifts of other kinds but the ones I've listed above are what I really wish for!
What about them plans over yonder?
Sharp eyes there! With my semester coming to a close in about a month I will be left with quite a lot of time. Albeit I am looking to find some kind of work to do over the summer, I am also eager to continue taking on commissions. So far the experience has been fun and I've met a lot of friendly faces in the process! And like I said before, hearing how much a commissioner love the art they receive is a big extra reward! I also get to work with new ideas, which is also refreshing.
Being realistic however, I don't expect to see much traffic in the ways of commissioners. That's why I also plan on working on how to better market myself as an artist. Fanart and doing some free drawings for people is probably a good start, but I'm still not 100% sure how exactly to go about it all. Thankfully there's still a month left to figure something out!
Stay safe and don't catch a cold!
