I've been doing pretty well for myself, working from home mostly, going on walks. Houston was one of the first areas to get hit with tons of cases in the US.
My uncle got the virus but has since recovered, and his wife isn't showing symptoms.
The rest of my family is fine.
I had taken a cruise just before this virus picked up, so good timing I guess.
I'm stocked and ready for anything.

Aaaw' I'm sorry to hear about your knee, that probably sucks! I hope it will get better for you!

I was off work voluntarily with no pay for a little over a month. Now I'm back. We are doing curbside at my business but I dont feel like we are doing hardly anything to actually keep ourselves safe. There are only around 20 employees but we are pretty close together. luckily I'm in a separate room from most of them though so... eh.
So far I dont know anyone who has it or even anyone who knows anyone who has it so that's really good news. My state is currently doing very well at containment but I wonder how long that will last since bars are reopening tomorrow. All in all so far the virus has probably done my life more good than harm. The time off was good, I've saved and invested some money and done a ton more art than I would have. Just kind of got a full system reset on myself. Hopefully it stays that way :/

It's been going so well for me that I almost feel guilty. There's only 7 active cases recorded here, the population density is low, all asset classes have been wrecked, most goods and services still available have been discounted in some way, and the government is dropping helicopter money on everyone by the thousands. All the unexpected perks aside, my life feels surprisingly normal... I wouldn't be surprised if real estate prices in Alberta plummet, and that's a nice province so it'd be a good buying opportunity for some.

Surprisingly, I haven't been affected too much.

I still have my job, and also didn't get the corona stimulus check. Though I am pretty sure I caught it back in mid March, before any lockdown things happened here. Testing wasnt available for young people in PA then and still isn't now, so I have to wait for an available antibody test for any closure.

We're retired, so in one case... not much.

HOWEVER... we're in the highest risk group. We don't go anywhere and I'm the only one who does shopping (I shop for three families now)

Every time the husband coughs, my "alert" meter ticks ... just a little. Doesn't go into overdrive, but the "alert" goes on.

I haven't had a shift at work since April 3rd. I asked for a week off to be safe and self isolate, then my grandfather got the virus and I have not been put back on. I was starting to really dislike working there so I don't plan on going back, but I'll have to find a new source of income eventually.

Oh man, I hope you can find a new job soon then! Job search at this time is the horror, but maybe there are more options where you are! I wish you luck!

Yeah. Unfortunately most jobs in walking distance of me are all food service locations, which is a hell in itself and not something I wanna work in during this pandemic. I'm trying to hold out and wait for my stimulus check so I can use it to get my license, but I'm still in limbo on when it will arrive or if I'm even getting one. Bad feels. Might wind up opening commissions some time in the future.

Grandpa is...up and down. From the bits I've been told it's a zigzag downhill path right now.
