Instagram isn't that good for artists, I agree.
So it's not really worth making one if you want it to be one of the main ones for you, but it could work okay as a backup, for example.

The algorithm is very difficult to work with, I wouldn't rely solely on Instagram but it might be good to have some presence there if you want alternative options. I kind of try to keep mine not so furry related. Twitter and FA works better for furry stuff for me. :)

I can't really say since my posts never really receive much feedback (only a bit on dA ^^), but i guess it's hard there to get feedback? it's more of a "like and go to the next pixture" kind of thing. Though i think it's different from time to time and i like scrooling through pictures sometimes? And this works well on a phone xD
So i think it's not really good for building a fanbase and interacting with people (plus i guess the majority of people on there is younger ^^) but it can be fun if you just want to look at pictures done by others xD

I avoid Instagram as much as possible. In addition to it being owned by facebook, a primary reason I don't like it, it seems like another fave it and forget it site like twitter, telegram, and discord.

"Glitchy" is putting it politely. "Self-destructing" is probably more accurate.

And let's just say I'd rather follow you here than on a site owned by Facebook. (Speaking of which: Hi!)

Yeah, Eclipse is... yeah. I've never cared about a website changing their look, but DA is just broken now. Like, I can't even copy/paste the HTML stuff I've used in my journals for YEARS because it turns into a broken mess filled with garbage everywhere. Even clicking a line on the journal will delete the whole line for some reason? It won't even let me highlight the stuff that's broken and delete it. Argh.

I'm not happy about Facebook either. But they build profiles on everyone whether they own an account or not, so I don't know if getting an account is worse than not having one. I try to block their scripts when I can, but they're everywhere.
