What's the longest you've had a story idea before writing it?

I've had several white whales in the past but if I had to pick one, it'd be for the first trade I ever had to do, back when I still roamed the forums. It was supposed to be short and sweet but when I sat down to finally type it out I...realized I had enough ideas and scenes in mind for a novelette. It took me around 4 weeks I think to finally collect everything and put it on paper. I was studying so I didn't have much time for personal or work based writing, and back then I was focusing more on creating individual scenes and somehow stringing together a narrative.

Imagine requesting a sandwich and instead receiving a buffet.

Ah, yeah. Tbh, 4 weeks ain't really that far out there, with studying and all. Though I suppose that it took some real condensing just to get there hah
Sweet, so how about your least favorite animal?

Snakes. Where I grew up there is a snake population, I've always had a dislike for snakes because you know, they're snakes, but after one of my dogs tried to play with one, my dislike intensified.
