By commissioning me, you agree to accept all of the Terms listed below. These terms may be changed at any time for any reason. Any changes will not affect previous works made before the changes were put in place.
By commissioning me, you agree that you have permission to have the character drawn. If I feel that I am not allowed to draw the character in the situation given, then I may ask for additional proof that I am allowed to draw them.
A visual reference is preferred for a commission. If the character possesses a tattoo there must be a clear image/template of said tattoo. The EXCEPTION for this rule is if you are commissioning a reference sheet. You cannot send me to many reference materials for your commission.
Payments are to be sent via PayPal using USD currency. If you are new I may invoice you.
Refunds for artwork are to be negotiated depending on the reason for the refund. I will not refund you for wrong or missing information after the piece is finalized and you accept the work. You can ask for corrections though for minor inaccuracies.
So long you give proper credit back to me, you may upload and share any commissioned work yourself when and where you see fit. Proper credit could simply be "Art By EightTailFox" or posting a link to an original posting made by me. It is encourage that you promote my art if you enjoy your commission.
Commissions are only for your personal use. You may not sell prints or profit in any way without my DIRECT permission.
You may crop any art of your character I done into a profile picture.
You may finish 'unfinished' works i sent you, so long as you preserve the watermark and give credit. Proper credit will be "Lines/Sketch by EightTailFox".
All my commission types fall into the finished artworks definitions. Certain special doodles and WIPs do fall into the unfinished artwork category.
You may NOT edit any work made by me in any other way without my permission.
This includes: changing colors, adding text, cropping out credit, or any similar thing. If you want to use it as a livestream advertisement or an icon, let me know and I will make it better suited for that purpose from the start.
I reserve the right to deny a commission for any reason I see fit.
I reserve the ownership of any of my own personal character(s) included in a commission, if included with a client’s character(s).
I reserve the right to use any art I produce in promotional material or for my professional portfolio. This does NOT include prints or other materials made for profit.
I will not try to sell, or make additional profit off of commissioned materials without the characters owner permission.
I retain the right to ask you to remove any images featuring one of my personal characters at any time.
If any of this is unclear or if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask. Exceptions to any of the above terms may be made under certain circumstances.
