Birthday report...
Well, now that my birthday celebration has officially ended, I can now tell you about it...
My actual birthday was last wednesday, but the celebrations started Monday evening when I had a night on the town with my best mate. Spent some time hanging around bars and spending loadsa money on drinks before getting a taxi back to his place. Stayed overnight and surprisingly woke up the next morning early (9 o'clock) and no hangover! My friend wasn't too good though, and the weather was sh*t! Rained all day! So we didn't go anywhere. We just stayed in played on the Wii and PS3 a lot! We had scouts that night, so I had dinner at theres (meatballs!). it was my mates last night at scouts as he decided to quit after being in the scouts for 8 years, which meant that I got promoted to Senior Patrol Leader I got a lovely box of choccies (Cadbury's Miniature Heroes! mmmmm... nomnom) and a wooden basket of Black Sheep ale (great stuff!). Got a pint glass too!
Woke up the next morning at home and it was officially my birthday! Opened up lots of cards as well as 3 books from my bro and his girlfriend. Got "Into the Darkness" by Harry Turtledove, "The NeverEnding Story" by Michael Ende (the movie is awesome, but I've never read the book!), and last but not least,
neondragon's "DragonArt: How to Draw Fantastic Dragons and Other Fantasy Creatures"! It's a great book, and I urge everyone who is having difficulty drawing dragons (like me) to buy it!
I also got the telly that I was supposed to have (We purchased it on saturday but was given the wrong one), and it's a great telly, especially for the price! It's a Samsung 32" LCD Full HD TV... all for £379! I had to pay for most of it though... my parents offered to pay £50 towards it for my birthday Still, you can't go wrong at that price!
And I was away this weekend, staying at my auntie and uncle's house in Gloucester (which explains why I uploaded
JargonIceDragon's birthday pic via my PSP). It's literally right on the border between England and Wales! I'm not kidding, Wales is like 20 minutes drive from where they are! Also, not only do they have a great house, but the scenery is stunning! Nothing but hills and countryside Every time we stay over there, I look at the view and it just leaves me totally inspired! No wonder they've lived there for about 40 years! Also, it's a great place to be if you love dragons, especially as the house nearest to them is called "Dragon Cottage"! It even has little statuettes of dragons around the front of the house! :-D Should also not that I started reading "Into The Darkness" whilst I was there. Very good, but it takes me nearly 2 hours to read just one chapter! They are THAT long!
So yeah, birthday celebrations went well, but it's back to normal from now on
