Race: Qi'raithens (Kee-ray-thens)
Background:
Qi'raithens are a grounded race in the world of Mhyr'Anphenza. They have a strong tribal tie to the fire of spirits. The can be distinguished by their tattooed markings
Qi'Raithens are omnivores. They raise cattle like monsters and farm exotic fruits found in thier lands
Qi'raithens are split among several tribes and usually paint the marking of their city on thier armor and clothing. Each city has its own council of rulers and each city acts individually of others. When they work together Qi'raithens are a formidable force. However due to the individualist nature each tribe makes alliances and feuds with others. They share some outlooks on culture and contrast on others. This leads to a lot of infighting in the Qi'raithens homeland and often makes the other races see them as tribes of barbarians.
Age range:
All Qi'raithens mature and gain thier flame upon their 18th name day. Average lifespan for the Qi'raithens is 230 years with two exceptions. Black flames tend to live to about 800 naturally
Gender in the tribes:
These gender roles are generic and have plenty of exceptions. Gender equality is a large part of Qi'Raithen culture.
Males: Generally larger and slower
Intersex: Middle of the road
Female: Smaller and faster
The Spirit Flame:
The flame of their tail does not burn or give off heat like a normal flame but is tied to the lifeforce of the Qi'raithen. The Qi'raithens' flame is tied to their own spirit and will not go out until they pass away. The brighter the flame the stronger the Qi'raithen. They draw power from the flame but must also be wary of it. The flame can consume its host and transform them into a Fire Shade. These are very dangerous and hard to handle
The color of the flame itself is tied to an ability based upon the users spirit:
-Pink/Purple Flame: Telekinesis. Users can manipulate objects for a short period of time and throw them or push them into place. The heavier the object is the harder it is to control. They cannot use this ability on themselves but can use it to throw enemies or hold them in place for a short time. These Qi'raithens tend to become Warriors or builders.
-Blue Flame: Invisibility. Users can make themselves or objects they are touching invisible for a short time. They can hold the invisibility for as long as they can concentrate on it. Qi'raithens with this ability tend to become spies
-White Flame: Phasing. Users can phase through physical objects at will as long as they can concentrate. They can also specify items or others to phase with them. The more risky of the three base powers
-Green Flame: Flame Shade Possession. The rarest of the flames. Users with a green flame are often seen as taboo and outcast by the Qi'raithen Tribes. While few tribes accept them as citizens of their city
-Black Flame (With accenting color): Black Flame Familiar and Accenting power. A rare flame color

"They raise cattle like monsters" can be read to imply raising cattle makes one a monster. XD
