Finding time for art when you have other stuff to do
5 years ago
Thought I'd make an update, since it's been a while. I know I haven't posted a lot of art recently, not as much as other artists that post at least monthly. I always wondered, how do other artists find the time to draw? Especially if they have another job besides being a freelancer artist. I live in a two story with a pretty big yard and one other family member. I spent most of my time either taking care of the house/garden or playing games or some other hobby-related stuff.
Responsibilities suck up the most of my time, like chores, uni and obviously taking care of myself and others. When I'm done, I usually have a few hour left before I go to bed, so I spend those few hours playing a quick game, 'cause I'm too tired to draw. I can't imagine coming home from work and sitting down to draw. Am I just getting too old for this or what lol. Or perhaps I just view art as a second job and not as a relaxing activity? Either way, I'll try harder to squeeze a session of art in my busy schedule, maybe I'll even post some sketches as I love doing those :)
