I'm not sure I can claim Xiahwenited as a closed species as they dont look particularly unique. But people are free to make their own if they want hahaha

Xiahwenites have such a complicated worldbuild. I don't think I'm looking for that depth of lore yet.

An interesting thought! I know it can be tough to do a closed species if you plan to sell them to the general internet, but just as something you have and maybe make a few for others here and there, I don’t see any issues coming up! I’d love to see more lore on them.

Normally I’m against closed species, however in terms of setting it up for lore/backstories involving a species or characters, that does make more sense ; end of the day, as long as a creator doesn’t charge for a character or is super strict and bastardly about their rules I don’t have an issue

So this is a good point. I think "closed species" are usually meant for sale or distribution. For me, it would be more like custom stuffed animals I give to my friends for free. Or let them have a sort of "Build a Badgernuki Workshop".
