Hey friends!
Don't worry I haven't forgotten about any of you. I am just deep into my move and I am getting close to the end! Moving across the city carload by carload while also working 40 hours a week and dealing with ALLLLL the issues in my new home are taking up a ridiculous amount of time but never fear, I have not disappeared. Commissions are crawling whenever I get a snatch of time. eek

Ok back to work! (I'm on my lunch heheehhe)

Carload by carload! That sounds exhausting!

OP
It really is but I also live in a building with no elevator (on the top floor) and my knees can only handle so many flights of stairs carrying furniture! I hired movers to get me IN to the apartment, but with covid being really bad where I am it's just easier on my mind to move out myself. Plus the parking lot is an alley so there is nowhere for a moving truck anyway. The lease and the mortgage have a few weeks overlap and we are on the home stretch now, but the deadline is looming closer haha

Is this your third place since being on FA? I vaguely remember you moving and getting a promotion before you had a bit of a hiatus. I had to help my partner move her brother into an apartment and I agree with you on the stairs. They are killer! Especially in the snow. Being from Australia I wasn't used to it when I came over xD

OP
Let's see - I had the first apartment in MI until about 2012ish, then I got my first house which was just across town so the move wasn't too bad - I lived there until last year, and moved to the apartment in IN and that move was short notice and terrible (never try to pack and move a whole house in a week and fit it into an apartment) and I only stayed in the apartment for part of a year and starting last month started moving into my new house. So I think that makes four places! You recall correctly, I had a few promotions in the interim which honestly just got more and more stressful since I moved more into a supervisory role so I am glad I stepped down for a bit. Especially with working from home, my job is so much easier and pleasant when done in the home office :)
