My mother and i are a special breed...its called we dont give a fuck about our bodies, she wont go through Chemo, i dont blame her i wouldnt, and she would cut them off but that surgury would cause her to miss 5 weeks of work and thats something she cant afford so she'd just leave it be, something frankly id do too >~<

Honestly, im in the same category with you and your mom. I look at things pragmatically as much as I can and the situations would play a massive part in my decision making. I most likely would also not get those treatments but I would seek a less time consuming option to prevent future incapacitation and hinderence from causing issues down the line that might cause more problems then the current problems.

its good to do preventive measures since at a later stage cancer just gets worse and more painful even if you dont give a single hoot

Preventative looks like this "Can i afford this? No? Oh well" Other wise neither of us would be in such a bad shape as we are as is to be honest, letting it go unchecked is mostly habit and a part of our lifes we've learned to not care because money has never been something we've had enough of. If we had the money to treat all of our problems we'd probably be completely different people.
