Here's an actual life update. I resigned as a pet sitter and now I work in a university lab growing algae. 👨🏻‍🔬🦠 🧫 🧪
I get the best of both worlds; plants/greenhouses and volatile chemicals!

I'm also the only person in the lab that has "lab experience" embalming bodies.

Moral of the story ed boy...
Life makes no sense.

Commissions are also full. But hopefully will resume depending on how heavy this courseload is. At least I have the benefit of staying home most of the time now. ✝️Zoom✝️ will keep me at my computer and much to my teachers irritation I have never not doodled in class. I'm almost 30.

Art insp wise I should try focusing on that. I really don't have an aesthetic that inspires me other than stressed sad tomboy cats that smoke weed too much. I want to tackle fantasy again, maybe work on environments and backgrounds. Something that also makes me relearn textures and shading. The fact that theres so much color tools with digital really changes the game. Most of my experience has been as a traditional snob, and I'm still quite good at traditional, but the exact same feeling I get when I learn another language is the feeling I get learning digital. This pandemic lockdown has been extremely productive!
Cyberpunk, Synthwave, Darkwave is another aesthetic I want to explore. Feeling the serotonin to want to emulate a style is challenging with so much homework and time consumption of other projects and life experiences.

Man, I'm tired. But I gotta go get my hair cut and do laundry. Then homework.
