It's been a rough time, so we can all use a little joy and positivity.

I know this here is about positivity, but I feel this needs to be pointed out since you sound a bit condescending;
Honest opinion to that second picture: even if someone first agrees to you drawing their OCs for free, if they say something that hints at them not liking the outcome and they didn't ask for the picture, take it down. Do not just upload it in the frist place without getting their approval at first by uploading it to some place like Google Drive and sending them the link. There are plenty of people who do not want to see their characters in porn unless they commission it. I myself have quite a few characters and would be super uncomfortable if someone drew them randomly having sex, OOC or not, then uploaded it and kept it uploaded no matter how I react.

Well I also am a fan of doing this. You never know what those words of positivity could do. I am getting slowly more feedback and it has helped me move forward. I still sort of hate everything I make after I finished it, or during. So it's a work in progress, and mostly is just my mental issues blocking me or being sharty.

I do a lot of ink, as you have seen, and this and that which do not get much traction. At this point, I understand why. I always really love my inks and then they just fall flat. I assume they are too busy, or boring for the traffic I am in is all. Things I like, rarely, are what people like, but I know most people follow me for the tits, not anything else so haha. I like the tits too, but I sure wish my other work had some sort of interest to keep me motivated.

People tend to like my salty caved in art where I just pander to be brutal about it. In this case, instead of that usual art bleat of no one loves my ink wahwah...

This is a piece I like, this is a piece that someone bid extremely high on to scare off other bids, and they loved it. I was really stoked at the FC gallery as this was my first bid on anything this year too. I didn't think anything I liked that I made would go past start bid if bid on at all (but most I lowballed the start and sort of gave up on having a high bar.)

I was bummed when I posted it, how little reaction it had. This was a crazy experiment, and it led me back into using my heavy body paint and pastels etc.

This whole year for FC I was salty TM and just made a bunch of wacky stuff, or super retro stuff. I just called out all the backhanded comments I hear and slapped my art dick on the table to be frank. It paid off and I feel a lot better about my art. However, a few things I was sure would sell, that would be really interesting at least to watchers, still fell flat (not the tits and bits naturally lol)

So often it feels like we're just casting out lines into an empty ocean. I know the feeling... I have a few pieces that I was proud of that no one really comments on. It seems Spireus is not interesting very many, but I'm still going to keep up with this passion project.

Sadly, there is a lot of people on this site that are only in it for the fantasy porn, and don't give a damn about the art itself or the artist.

I loooove your inks. I like your patterns too, and really you have a great composition eye. I also sometimes get all augh why can't I do shit like that when I see other people's work. I love to see how people work, and the different things they put up. I just like need to start getting out of my hermit shell really bad. Need to comment more. I've been a total cadet. I'm relearning now to drive, so that also is taking a lot of my attention away from arting and being active.

The Spireus works look cool, those are in my doom watch folder still. I have a lot of submissions to go through. I blew through a few thousand I let slip some time back and now I have 300 or so left to see. I dropped off the planet for the last few months, not really due to covid, just got really reclusive. I was gone from DA so long, I came back to it looking like myspace with it's "new" ugly.

I think we all get that way when we look at others art. I so idolize artists like Virgil Finlay that I get hung up on my own shortcomings.

I gotta say, for all it's faults, at least DA groups submissions. It would make going through backlogs so much easier if we could have that here too.

Thanks! It's been over 10 years really. I tried once 6 years ago but no one had time to work with me so I gave up. This time I have a supportive partner, and a much better chance at driving. Minus now my anxiety (general, not about driving, just about evvvverything lol) is more intense.

DA groups, and clumping submissions by page is and was really nice. Here on FA I do use the old look. I'd like to use DA's old look. I am a geezer and I don't like modern web design being so dang giant/designing for phones basically.

I understand the feeling. With paid work you have to get it done no matter what. even when it's not turning out the way you want.
