Hello and welcome to August! I hope everyone has been making the most of their summer. August is always my favorite month. It reminds me of cool summer evenings catching fireflies and clinging to the last days of freedom.
Monthly Theme
This is a new suggestion from one of our members. Every month we'll have a theme. If you feel like it, do something creative with the theme and share it with us! If you give me permission I will share it on LittleFort Fur-Affinity page with a link back to you. This can be art, a song, a poem, or your best finger painting
This month's theme is: campfire!
The cackling of the fire under the stars. Will you make s'mores or are you more interested in a hot dog. Be careful not to get the smoke in your eyes. Do you have a favorite song to sing?
Directory Additions
Please give a warm welcome to the following new members of our directory:

Discord Events
At the moment these are Discord only events. In the future we may consider doing events outside the server or cross platform with fur-affinity.
★ Caretaker3000 icon contest: all month long Caretaker3000, our local discord bot, has a very generic dad icon. He could use something special. If you want to have a go at it, make him a new icon and send it in. All artwork submitted will be rotated around. Icon should be themed to what a "caretaker" means to you. Ideal icons are 512x512px but we'll try any size.
★ Game Night: Aug 14th 6pm-8pm EST Join us for our first real-time event. We'll be playing a little-fur version of the Cards Against Humanity (or at least trying to!)
★ Scribble Swap II: Join by Aug 16th, Art due Aug 30th This was so popular in June we're doing it again. This is a very low stakes art trade where the goal is to let yourself be little or get in the mindset of a kid. Don't worry about how good your art looks, just scribble away. Art can be digital or traditional.
Upcoming Projects
Here's the scoop on what's coming up this month:
★ Back-end work to make website updates easier. Right now database updates are a little tricky. Hopefully with a few changes we will be able to update our directory much faster.
★ Role integration for the Discord server. A few changes to roles have been suggested including adding new roles and allowing yourself to remove roles. Keep an eye out on the server for more news!
★ Voice chat launches in the Discord server. Coming soon!
