Act 1 Release, and Carrot Month!

YO DUDES IT’S HAPPENIN~!
We’re days away from releasing Act 1 on Itch.io :> Past few months have been tons of cleaning up and tune ups and prepping for this release. Everything’s lookin’ heckin GEWD, so we’re super excited to finally get this chunk out to share with y’all!
Literally days away, so keep your eyes peeled. Once it’s out, I won’t be shutting up about it, so it’ll be hard to miss!

Aside from that, we’re currently a week into “Carrot Month!”
If y’all recall, it’s a month to FINALLY TACKLE THE THINGS YOU’VE BEEN PUTTING OFF. 2 Years ago I decided to take a month off of commissions and go full ham on “game stuff” – and that changed my entire life afterward! I encourage y'all to use this as an excuse to start that special thing you've been wanting to! If you do, please share it here :D
This month I’ll still be dedicating ample time to Act 2 assets and production, but I’ll ALSO be jumping into a couple other things!
• The first and probably the most boring, is Project Management?!
Lmao, Vixel and I’ve been rummaging around with a few apps to track and better communicate our workflows and to-dos! It’s been tricky feeling around in the dark trying to find a good way to have all of this stuff in one place, so I spent the first couple days of this month looking into how other folks handle documenting, tracking, and mapping out production of larger projects. Found some good info, and hopefully we’ll be able to incorporate it all into a shareable live tasklist so y’all can see what we’re focusing on at any point in time :>
• Second – (and most cool) is 3D!
I’ve been jumping into blender pretty hardcore the past few days! I’ve been messing with hard surface modeling and getting some low-poly things “ghetto rigged” to start animating! I’ll post a test soon so y’all can see the shenanigans xD! I’d like to get a creature fully rigged and animate some loop thing this month. Makin’ good progress! Blender is A LOT easier to pick up than I thought it was gonna be xD I was pushing this off for literally years, and it’s super stupid since 2.8 is VERY accessible. (Again, this is the exact reason why Carrot month is a thing. A designated set of time where you just say “FUCKIT I’m doing the thing I’ve been wanting to do forever.”)
• Lastly! I’d like to make another Carrot Talk video or two :O
This time accompany with some royalty lo-fi hip hop bullshit to raise the general feel of those videos :> I’m thinking about making a video on “Finding Your Style” and then another video on “Crushing the Artblock”
If y’all have any other topics you’d like to hear me talk about, throw them here! No guarantee I’ll do it, but it’s good to know what things folks are curious about!
