Wednesday Night Movie Stream: CLASH OF THE TITANS
5 years ago
Once upon a time, Hollywood expended a great deal of time, effort and money to make a movie about Greek Mythology. A movie that faithfully explored the heroes, heroines and Gods of ancient Greece. A movie that accurately showed the proper attire of the ancient Greeks. A movie that spared no expense in its visual effects and cinematography.
This is not that movie.
Instead, prepare yourself for a Hollywood film that takes extreme liberties with as many of the Greek myths in its 2-hour time frame as it possibly can. A movie that brings you Ray Harryhausen’s special creature effects, and blows $500 on the rest of the movie’s effects. A movie that lets its actors wield steel, while the acting itself is fairly wooden. A movie whose plot is so convoluted, it takes the first hour to figure out what the hell’s going on.
I am of course, speaking about the original CLASH OF THE TITANS. We'll be watching it at 6:30pm PST/ 9:30pm EST.
lei-lani is also going to be on mic this time and educate us on the REAL story of Greek myths. Entertaining AND educational! So come by and enjoy it with us.

OF course it boils down to one very fun question;
IF YOU COULD.. WHICH WOULD YOU TAKE Of the gifts given to Perseus in the movie.. you can have only *ONE*
The helmet of invisibility...
The sword that can cleave a piece of marble as thick as my leg and not leave even a blemish on the blade..
The Aegis Shield
The stallion Pegasus
or The "virtually immortal" near-infinitely wise Bubo the mechanical owl.
(( and if you really wanna stretch it.. how about adding in "the all seeing eye" he had "borrowed" from the stigyan witches... we only have a vague clue of what it can do for a person, as him merely having it for that brief amount of time made his red cloak invulnerable to the massively acidic blood of the true Gorgon Medusa))
