Hello! I wanted to talk about my plans for my work and future commissions.
The short version is that I don't really plan to open commissions again anytime soon unless it's due to necessity [Something big happening and needing money to cover it].

But basically I've struggled the past few years [I got really depressed] and my art took a big hit I haven't recovered from! [I myself am doing much better though! no worries.] Drawing is not very fun to me anymore, and it's something I use as a necessity, to make commissions and make money, and I burn out very quickly. I think with time it could go back to what it was, but it will not have a chance to if I keep using it for work. It needs to become a hobby, or something more manageable and relaxed that I can nurture back to health.
Buut of course I also need money and drawings are the best thing I can offer... until now?
Through this all, my desire to learn 3D has not been impacted and I intend to get better at making 3D characters as well as eventually pursuing animation.
I want to give Patreon a try, I think it would allow me to keep having an online presence while I keep learning 3D, and it would allow me to focus on it so that I'm able to improve/learn faster!
I'm not sure what I can offer right now on Patreon though, since it's so early on my 3D journey. Eventually I want to offer animations, cool looking WIPs, maybe even work on models that are intended to be released publicly for more people to make stuff with!
I'm open for suggestions! Right now I want to use December [when I should have finished all my pending commissions] to clean up all my oldest files and offer access to a full archive! I have art since 2015 [Deep in the Homestuck days for me!] After that I'd like to show my progress, maybe make compilations of cool resources I'm using to learn 3D stuff for those interested.
Maybe make a monthly illustration or sketchdump of a character selected by patrons, I'm not sure!
If you're interested in any of this, if you believe in this choice I'm making or have faith in what I could achieve in this new medium.

If you were interested in getting a personal commission... I might not be able to offer that for a long time. It's very uncertain at the moment. But when I do I'll make a journal post about it!
This is something I posted on Trello, I've been quietly adding links to Patreon here and there, thinking it might be best to make a post on a bigger site near December [When I plan to update my Patreon and add Tiers reflecting the fact I plan on making it my main thing], but there's no reason to not start talking about it earlier, the faster I start getting used to Patreon and start thinking about things to offer, the easier the transition will be once December/January comes around!
Please feel free to leave suggestions on what kinda stuff you'd like to see from me in the future!
