As for the character: I only know most of Wolf from StarFox64 aka Lylatwars. Haven't played any other of the entries where he appeared in, no "Assault" nor "StarLink" admittedly. When thinking of the character, all that really comes to mind is that he and his team seem to be a bunch of corrupt mercenaries who are basically space criminals.
Not sure how much more story there yet is to them so far. Maybe I'll check out a wiki at some point but usually a science-fiction setting really needs to enchant me to really catch my interest (and even "Star Wars" I really only found mildly interesting. <X3).
