Health rant -
Okay so things are going better for me health wise, I started Banting again, some of you might know that as Keto.
For the first time in almost a year, 3 weeks have gone by without me getting stomach cramps, stomach bugs or worse.
For anyone following my rambles will know I suffer from constant stomach/gut problems and ailments.
This was really starting to become hell for me, really testing my resolve. but about 3 weeks now with no real pains or cramps have been amazing, I have never drank this much water in my life, I do miss starch, sugar, most fruits and vegetables, but the yummy food REALLY isn't worth the pain.
Though now I'm sitting with a cold and sore throat thanks to my daughter, but here's hoping its not the plague!
Another passing -
My grand mother in-law died two weeks ago, she was a lively woman, though oh so thin.
We are unsure of how her passing went as a dodgy part of the family kept her isolated from us in her last few weeks as to change the will last minuet for themselves when they realized she was close to the end.
They let none know she was dying, it was a shock to the rest of the family when they told us she was dead, not even her brothers or daughters where told. Just so they could keep the changing of the will a secret.
Greed will get you no where, all the other family have written theses guys off 100%.
Thing is grandma was poor as hek, barely had a penny to her name. they thought they where scoring big, but quickly came to realize they had fucked themselves over for nothing, since even her house didn't belong to her but to her late sister's children. But karma is a bitch and now they can't beg other family for help anymore, so good residence to bad rubbish.
She was a super sweet old lady and I just hope her passing was peaceful.
Commissions and work -
So with all the craziness over the few months, you guys know my comms have been going rather slow and due to my husband being unemployed we have really been struggling with paying bills and life.
So a friend put in a good word for me at the company she works at, at fist I said sure, give them me details, but I honestly never expected anything off it.
Low and behold they actually contacted me and wanted to do an interview, I was happy yet dreading it at the same time.
I went in and told them I hadn't been in the industry for over 3 years and only knew one of the 3 programs they want me to use. Though they where looking for people with experiences and I have about +- 15 years of that in the 3D animation industry.
So to my surprise I got the job, financially this is a god-sent, but my love for 2D is still my passion.
My hubby is very supportive and told me if they make my life a living hell like my last job did I can leave. Though with our finances I would like to as least hold out till the end of the contract.
I started on the 1st Sep and so far so good, everyone is lovely to work with and it feels like they really trust me with what I'm doing, unlike my last job that made me feel worthless and less than nothing.
So how does this effect commissions, well needless to say I can't putt full days into drawing anymore.
But paid commissions are of my utmost highest priority when I am home. (I'd do them at work during my lunch break if I could.)
Drawing every spare moment I get, every evening and on weekends full time.
Also I have locked my waiting list, I will not do any YCH or journal comms till my current paid list is finished. So sorry for anyone hoping to get one of those.
You unfortunately cannot be added to my currant list as well, as I really want to finish that and move on the new ideas.
So if you are currently in my waiting list and cancel your spot I sadly cannot put you back in.
Best bet would be to look out for journal comms/ YCH's once my list is complete.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact me.
Hope you are doing well or at the very least not to terrible. 💗

Yeah gosh, 2 losses in one year is two to many and I hope so too!
You know me, always looking to the bright side of life. :P
I try to stay healthy, at least I'm eating is a lot better, giving up sugar and starch was surprisingly a lot harder the second time around.
I'm glad to know they treat you better (and they better continue to! -w-) at your new job, or else a crazy, swedish woman shall fly over and rampage in the country! lol
Sorry to hear about your grand mother in-law! :(
Its not really a carbs thing for me, more like my stomach gets irritated by certain foods, so I sadly have to cut out way more than the average Banting person.
This is terrible as I am a HUGE bread lover, so I made coconut bread today, not as good as normal bread, but at least doesn't give me cramps. ;w;
Yeah I made lots of stuff with coconut flour.
What I can have is Meats, dried meats, eggs, yogurt, nuts (like almonds) and cauliflower rice. and a few veggies.
I am quite limited, so Banting is the closest thing I compare to my diet.
Tomatoes contain around 2–3 grams of net carbs per 3.5 ounces (100 grams)
and with fruit you can still have berries! Blueberries are low carb so I often ate them while on keto.
This site was really helpful to me when starting https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto/fruits
zucchini is low carb so you can make them into noddles and make like a chicken zucchini pasta :3
I have lots of old keto recipes bookedmarked if you would like me to share some!
Umm how do I explain, it's not about carbs them selves, even though cutting carbs out helps.
For example broccoli gives me stomach cramps, I dont know why and tomatoes and onions drive the acidity in my stomach so high that it makes me throw up. This even extends to tomato paste and tomato sauce/juice.
I could try berries, but honestly I'm scared. lol
I do use zucchini a lot as a pasta replacement, I have loads of recipes but thank you for the offer!
So yes it sadly is the food themselves that are causing the problems.
My doctor game me ulcer medicine as well, just encase and so fare so good.
I need to let my stomach recover basically from not being able to handle a lot of things.
Hopefully one day once my stomach is healed enough I can go to a more wider range of the keto diet. =)
I want a refund on 2020. :P
I wish you the best, and I know I'll look forward to whatever you're able to post. Of course, IRL/Family takes priority.
