So I'm aware the online world keeps changing, and FA is not sufficent for widespread promotion anymore. Chances are, in addition to posting here as I have been, I'm going to get a Twitter account specifically for From Russia With Lust.
This would be an art-only account, not really for interacting, watching, or retweeting--I may even task teh hubby with maintaining this instead of me. There's a chance it would be more active than this account, since I would feel more comfortable posting unfinished WIP type stuff given it's less of a "gallery" (which to me means finished work) feel. We have no official launch date or schedule yet, but definitely aiming for before the end of the year. [Edit: that sure as hell didn't happen, ha!]
FYI, yes, there will be adult situations here, though I am pretty sure they will not be necessary for the storyline.
My question here is whether this is the best auxiliary route to go at this point. Neither of us have any interest in social media, so we'd really like to avoid setting up and monitoring multiple accounts. I don't believe Discord or Telegram are quite appropriate for what I need (not really communicating/networking, more public art dump, ie HERE'S YOUR PORN, FURFAGS, ENJOY! :-D), and we all know what happened to Tumblr. Damn, I miss Livejournal. What are ya young whippersnappers using now?
Any other suggestions, or is Twitter our best bet? Thanks in advance!
(I expect there to be a massive blow-up and migration from Twitter now that I've announced this).

I also miss LiveJournal. Dreamwidth is the closest equivalent I know of, but its user base is pretty small.

Don't worry about social medias, you're not missing anything great. All people are posting now is
just constant bad news, hate, and stupid sex videos.
Though it would still be great to stay in contact with you and my other online buddies in some way.

I'm not an expert on which medias are the best, so I really can't help there. But Twitter is the only that I can think of too.

I think is a lot of work check everything and pretty much ignore everything that ins't a art post. But I gotta keep in contact if I want commission, since it may be my only way to get those.

Agreed that discord wouldn't really work though.
I mainly browse FA and Twitter lately, with a few art channels I follow on Telegram.

Maybe you can do something where you use twitter to show your art and use links to those post and organize that somewhere.
