So for those wondering yes I live in the Southern US and did indeed get hit by the hurricane.
My parents are fine, I am fine, my house is fine. I was just without power since about 1:00 AM Tuesday. Things seem okay now, in fact have had electricity for 2 hours now, I was just biding my time to make sure things were stable.
Luckily on Thursday my sister loaned my a generator she had, so I had some power and nothing in my fridge went bad, I think. It's worth nothing I tried my modem first thing and no broadband, which I expected so no internet even with the generator.
But yeah, everything seems fine now, I was really starting to feel like crap...

Your town got hit hard though? That sucks. :\
The county I live in, not sure if you know what counties are in US, but my county, it sounds like 94% of the entire county was without power after the hurricane.
That bad for the whole county though?
Heard that hurricane was a real bitch in some parts.
