Anatomy of an infantile smearpiece.

Someone in my discord randomly linked to this googledoc:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/.....8t9MmdSPMpECyA
I don't know the artist, have never seen their work before looking at the googledoc, so beyond personally despising hitjobs like this I have no dog in the fight. I think this is a good thing to highlight as an example of how pathetic the people who try to screw others over are.
This artist is 22, so young as fuck, and she's apparently a terrible person because of her views and what makes her uncomfortable. If she isn't 100% accepting of trans people and gay people then she's said to be harming such people. Her views are /harmful/. Hahaha. No, the personal opinions of anyone are not harmful, a person isn't evil because they don't share your perspective. This is childish in the extreme and the people who expect everyone else to think exactly like them are the people who ruin everything they touch. This fandom is a shell of its former self because of people like this. Check the disclaimer out too:
Yeah, this document, designed to destroy the reputation of another person, is not intended to be harmful to anyone. Lying is cool! Fucking hell XP.
The only stuff in the document that is even slightly a problem is the accusations of tracing another artists' work. Oh wait. She traced her own work. Oops. Like, if you don't want to spend money on a commission, like $120 for a headshot, then don't. I don't think this barely-an-adult person is doing anything remotely unethical. They have personal beliefs that some people find objectionable and use previous work as a guide to make new work. If you don't like the former, tough, deal with it like an adult and leave them alone. If you don't like the latter, don't commission them. What are they doing to make the world a worse place? Nothing. The scum who made the document though? They contribute to a culture of trying to ruin other people's lives and livelihoods over subjective ideological transgressions. That people think this is acceptable is why we have a fucking culture where people tread on eggshells all the time, in case they offend some pant-wetter bitch who will then try to fuck their lives up out of petty, unaccountable vindictiveness.
That people like this see someone's opinions as harmful but not the ACTIONS of trying to disrupt and screw someone's life tells you all you need to know about how sensible and ethical and reasonable they are. Which is not a jot. Congratulations, cowards who wrote that document, thanks for making the fandom that little bit extra a worse place to be in.

They not only used this person's real life name, but also listed all of her social media handles. Not only that, the usernames to other outlets she uses for her artwork and how active she is on all of these platforms. This kind of information makes it extremely easy to stalk and harass this person, which is exactly what people are going to do.
All of the "disclosures" listed are thinly veiled attempts to pass this off as a "we just wanna help" movement when really its just a call out. If their intent was just to "inform" people then most of that information wouldn't be necessary. Just give a few usernames and a makeshift warning so people who might find her world view offensive know to avoid her and be done with it.
Not to mention she's only 22. At that age people are still trying to figure themselves out half the time, that's incredibly young and while I can't say I support homophobia or transphobia, or that I'm religious, I'm not going to fault someone for sticking to their beliefs. Just because you don't agree with someone doesn't mean you have to go and try to cancel them.
Also worth noting that most of the stuff in this document is trying WAY too hard to pin stuff on her. So she didn't want to draw the trans flag, so what? I don't like drawing women, doesn't mean I hate them. She expresses her faith in Christianity, so what? I proudly display a furry decal on my car for all to see. She enables predators? In the FIRST SENTENCE of that paragraph they admit the person in question was redacted for this being a false account. Plus, why shouldn't she have acted "cold and business-like"? What are you supposed to do, scream at someone and cause them to panic and do harm to others?
People are so desperate anymore for a sense of self righteousness and attention. It both baffles and intrigues me, because I can't fully comprehend it and yet this kind of nonsense exists. Hopefully this kind of thing blows over soon, I'm tired of seeing it xD
Below is the link to Spoctor's video on the matter. He notes that a lot of the documents are just hearsay and come off as written by an angry ex.

-_- yeah, real nice person...nice enough for me to not want to watch the rest of the video.
One of my favorite examples is probably the time they freaked out over
Needless to say, these smear campaigns have real consequences, and a lot of aspiring artists are getting their futures crushed because of it. Part of the reason this fandom is basically run by a small handful of "popufurs" these days is because most of the newcomers get pushed out by all the hostility. What's really sad is that a lot of those artists are just as talented as the popular people whose artwork you see everywhere, but thanks to the gatekeepers stomping them out before they can garner any sort of fan following, most of them will probably never get the recognition they deserve. It's infuriating. Pretty soon, all we're going to be left with are a few vapid "popufurs" and social justice warriors if more of us don't start standing up to the mob. Honestly, it's getting to the point where whenever I see these "call out" posts being spread around, I just assume it's a petty smear campaign and usually send messages of encouragement to the artists in question to counter all the harassment they usually end up having to deal with. It's not much, but every little bit helps.
I've met plenty of artists who won't draw sexual content, male on male content, males, females, females with male genitalia, males with female genitalia, crossdressing, feet, etc... I guess I need to call them out for not supporting my kinks or something. I'm tired of all the idiocy.
She didn't vote for Biden, so she's not a REAL woman. So you can treat her however. /s
