Capitol Storming
Regarding the events yesterday, with protesting Americans storming the Capitol building, I'm struck by a few thoughts. First, I don't think such activity is a good thing, destructive acts very seldom are. Second, that compared to the riots that have been happening over the past year or so, it was very mild indeed, which leads on to the third point: Seeing the media and pro-antifa/blm people resoundingly condemn what their fellow Americans did yesterday. It is quite incredible to witness such a corrupted perspective in people, who will one minute cheer on far worse violence, gleeful at the prospect of injured police and flaunted laws, only to spit disgusted fury at something far milder done by the opposing side. I think if you are of that position, where you advocate/support far-left violence yet condemn this, then you are a considerably disgusting person with scarcely any integrity. Permitting yourself to behave like this is utterly shameful and it brings me close to nausea. Just putting that out there.

What people are pointing out is that the cops were shown actually letting them in.
No body actually stopped them, and four people were killed.
Meanwhile most BLM protests ended with, many times, peaceful protests being swarmed by martial law.
I can understand actual riots being met with some force, but lets face it. There were very few actual riots,
and if there were any fatalities, it was from cop to protester.
Meanwhile ProudBoys riot, cops do nothing but help, and they kill four people.
All because the president they wanted didn't get elected.
What did BLM want? Equal Rights?
Also, just to clarify, who exactly already have equal rights?
While on the other hand peaceful protesters like Ashli Babbit are simply murdered by the police ( I have seen the video, do not try to tell me it was not cold blood murder, shooting her thru a closed glas pannel door while other uniformed cops were right by her )
Now imagine her being BLM/Antifa. DC would burn to the ground tonight.
If there wasn't equal rights, how come they can walk away scot free?
These are people with mental health issues.
Proud boys while you say riot, actually have black and hispanic people in their groups so yeah.
Tell us about that while Antifa and BLM beat up defenseless people?
They are nothing more than brown shirts.
From what I understand a large group of Trump supporters, in protest of the election results, forced their way into the House of Representatives.
What was supposed to happen after that?
It doesn't take a genius to figure out ahead of time that if the Capital Police cannot restore order then sooner or later the National Guard will be called in. If for some reason they fail to restore order then it would have only been a matter of time before Martial Law was declared and the Military was called in to bring a end to this.
I'm not happy with the election results any more than I'm happy with, despite the appearance of irregularities with the election, Democrats are repeatedly telling us to shut up and accept the results of what they claim was a 'fair and just' election based solely upon their word that it was without bothering to even look into any of the claims about this or that problem with the election.
That said, the people who did this yesterday had to know ahead of time how this would end. So what exactly was their end-game supposed to be?
No real MAGA or trumper can do this.
Just another thing pushed by the liberal, far left agenda.
And a side note, that person with the “hammer and sickle” emblem on the back of his hand? That’s not an antifa emblem. It’s literally the “Mark of the Outsider” from Dishonored. XD
Let that sink in that it's all been the democrats fault.
Somebody who was ahead of you.
During the BLM and Antifa/anarchist riots where entire cities were burning... Everyone on the left was apparently a "Firey" "peaceful protestor" and we needed to "Defund and abolish the police" and "all police are bastards"... The second the right wing storms one building WITHOUT burning down an entire city or destroying businesses everyone is screaming "terrorists!" and "Riots!" and "The police need to use MORE force!!!"
Gotta love those double standards.
Also, if the election was "Fair and square" why did the left specifically fight tooth and nail to stop any and all "audits" of the votes? If it WAS fair and square they should have been 100% open to a 100% public audit. THAT is what has pissed off so many people on the right. Why all the secrecy and cover-ups? I can honestly understand why people feel cheated, especially after that video evidence of people pulling suitcases of Biden votes out from under a table after telling everyone else to leave. They were just some that got caught, who knows how many other places that could have or did happen.
I don't care what side someone is on, EVERY election should be audited publicly! There NEEDS to be voter I.D., I say just attach it to people's SSN, that way its FREE to every legal citizen. There also needs to be "Vote Confirmation" so you can look up YOUR vote to make sure it went through and for the person and laws you voted for.
You the award for truth!
THANK YOU!
Were they the seven million votes that gave Biden the popular vote? Must've been.
Facetiousness aside, I'm all for better regulations on counting votes - that way whinging babies will have one less excuse to pull shit out of their arse when things don't go their way. That goes for both ends of the political spectrum.
As for double standards, it seems like everyone is just about the same. At every fucking opportunity, without exception, downplaying the sheer destructive foolishness of their own gang while condemning the other, with plenty of ad hominems and fake shit sprinkled inbetween.
There's actual shit going on, we don't need this.
Not just in 2019, not just storming the Michigan State House unlawfully, but inciting insurrection and rebellion against the US. Aided and abetted by the Capitol Police, Donald Trump, and numerous Republican Senators and Representatives at the federal AND state levels.
I suggest you go down to the local police station and turn yourself in for treason, and plead guilty in court.
Democracy... feh!
Anyone who builds a system on the masses is destined for disappointment. If you can buy a vote with trinkets, the system fails.
The Republicans, however, spend months whining about fraud, produce no evidence, just conspiracy theories, and when they do not get their way, break into the US Capitol Building.
All of this could've been avoided had they just been transparent about the election and by performing a proper audit. People have very little faith in the system right now and just saying the numbers are right, believe us, we don't need to do any investigating, isn't very encouraging. It's like they want to get people riled up and angry.
2) The BLM riots have killed exactly zero police.
3) The BLM people were asking “why can’t police be as non-violent to black people as they were to armed insurgents storming government buildings” not “why not more violence?”. You couldn’t be more wrong in your take, there.
And denying all the video the insurgents took of them breaking through the police lines...using violence against police.
And the photos of magats with weapons?
And the videos and photos of property damage like breaking windows?
And all the video of looting including government documents and a freakin’ pedestal?
Sure. Good luck with that.
However, if you want to talk about spitting disgusted fury at something far milder done by the opposing side, you have to acknowledge that you are comparing:
a) A protest regarding the failure to of the powers that be to acknowledge and regard the consistently unjust deaths of a certain demographic by the hands of people whose role is to protect and serve.
To:
b) People upset that the political party (I'd argue more specifically, the person) of their choice did not win.
Now, I don't subscribe to that "ACAB" bullshit, but the murder of innocent people at the hands of police is certainly, in my eyes, worthy of acknowledgement. I condemn the violence and damage that ensued, but it is an issue absolutely worthy of protest. The prevalence of these issues are absolutely irrefutable, the footage is there for all to see.
You do not have to do mental gymnastics to realise that (in spite of what some people here have said) that the Capitol protest has little to do with voter integrity - the "Trump 2020" and "Trump For President" flags don't exactly scream "Actually guys, we're looking for a bipartisan way to ensure voter validity, which will be in the best interests of everyone.".
This is an issue regardless of where you are on the politcal spectrum, because I don't even see this as a left vs right thing, or even a Republican vs Democrat thing - this was about a cult of personality. Those people didn't want the Republicans to win, they wanted TRUMP to win, and they wanted him to win in spite of how the public voted - these people who are quick to talk about freedom on one hand, but clamour for a despot in the other. At the very best, it's bad form, and at the very worst, it's a complete disregard to democracy.
For you to talk about people making a big deal "spitting disgusted fury at something far milder done by the opposing side" only for you to pick this particular time to raise the point just seems a little tone deaf, and perhaps for you, even trite.
You want to talk about values? You've very conveniently said fuck all about the nature of the protest at the Capitol building. Just a non-committal "I don't like violence", to say nothing about the reasoning behind it. A convenient segue for the same old shit you always bang on about.
You might as well begin by opening with the weather before going on your tirades. You don't need need to wait for the invasion of Capitol Hill if you've got nothing of actual meaning to say about it. No values in that. Do you actually thing in terms of values anymore? Do your enemies determine your values more than your values determine your enemies? I wonder.
I'll concede, people didn't vote for Biden, not even democrats think highly of him. They don't need to. It's just that the alternative is so fucking mental that even something as tired and banal as an elderly career politician is more desirable.
For the record, I'm not sitting on the fence, I just don't know how to do what needs to be done - which is ending this partisan nutbag bullshit. No, really, it's all mental. Just as riddled with identity politics as the other. Fucking gross.
As for "intellectual cowardice", it's called thinking. I'm going to keep thinking, too. The alternative seems worse.
I look at you and see a wound-up toy solder who'll just keep rattling frantically forward until they walk off the table. That's where that's going to end, let me tell you.
As for coming out of nowhere and lecturing you; you're right, that isn't fair, and I'm sorry. I've clearly got some retarded hangups going on. Part of me doesn't want to see you walk off the deep end, part of me thinks you've already lost it, and part of me is a count who thinks it's pertinent to let you know.
Sos, I'll let you be.
Can't say the admins are interested in anything other than total agreement.
Everyone is a thug until they´re face to face with their rivals or oposition. This is what I hate about the modern era... and this is coming from 98s kid.
PS: The treatment you get for free from the NHS? If politicians like Trump ran the country, you'd be paying £££££ for all of that.
Cry more. Really pathetic to see this is where you ended up, defending a vile traitor to America, who'd consider you a freak, a pervert, a loser and a junkie.
