Finding artists open for commissions?

Does anyone have any specific ways they go about this? I've got some extra dough to spend and usually when it comes to commissions I tend to poke my friends. I figured I would give them a break though and try to find another artist that may be open, but TBH I rarely seek out art, I just sorta stumble upon it.

Generally, it can be a good idea to track folks that might be fun to commission over Twitter. They tend to open up for random commissions and sketches that way. Additionally, artists will sometimes retweet other people’s works, allowing you to find yet more cool folks!
