lol Yeah. both of my feeders I have up I've had to hand tie the wires- they've broken both of the loops. I even heard one of them pissed off one night from having feel with it. I heard a loud chittering squeak, looked out with a flashlight, and low and behold the feeder was on the ground. It still had a lot of seed, so the critter must have been freaked out by it.
I've seen it before clung to the bottom like a huge fuzzy growth curled in and feeding from underneath.
To be honest we've blown one of them away already with a rifle, it was getting dangerous. It was so complacent that it would come -right after- it turned dark. It was more of a safety hazard for our dogs, because they have confronted it before when I've taken them out for their nighttime business. And that's dangerous- because they tend to latch on faces if cornered- and it was. Thankfully my dogs eventually listened to me and got away from it. If I had a pistol on me, I could have popped it in the face.
So I held the light when it got on the feeder, and my father crept out and shot it. We had no better choice.
This other one though, plays it safe and waits until late, like 2AM if I leave them out. Now that I'm alright with. The other was far too dangerously bold.
I do love the critters- even if I have to take my bird feeders in at night because of them. X3
I should know, I'm married to one lol ;3
