Yogi Bear - Live action film

According to Wikipedia there is a live action film about one of my most cherished childhood characters in production:
Yogi Bear

From as far as i remember Yogi Bear was always my beloved childhood character alongside the Ninja Turtles and Alvin and the Chipmunks. With the Turtles recent CG film, which i felt mediocre, and Alvin and the Chipmunks being outright terrible, I think i have one thing to say to that film:

Why does Hollywood insist on making these sort of films? Why not leave the old tv series as they are?
Was Garfield the movie and its sequel good?
No.
Was Alvin and the Chipmunks good?
NO.
Was Transformers and its diarrhea sequel good?
FUCK NO!
What about Tom and Jerry the movie? That movie simply wiped its ass on all that made Tom and Jerry being Tom and Jerry. Why does Hollywood torment us, the old generation who grew up watching these cartoons, in order to "entertain" the new generation?
I despise Hollywood....
What's your opinion?

FA+

He-man movie
Voltron movie
Thundercats movie
And its not just old cartoons that Hollywood has massacred. Halloween, Friday the 13th, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and the upcoming Nightmare on Elm street (when Micheal Bay's cronies are behind a movie you just know its shit) are all shit.
If there is anything that video games to movie adaptations have taught me is that no matter how simple the story is or how popular the franchise is they will fuck it up hard.
An example? Double Dragon: a very simple game story (a woman is kidnapped and two guys go to save her....its almost as simple as Super Mario Bros.), but they end up to create a mess (post-apocalyptic city, the double dragon is a medallion, Abobo is a mutant etc).
Don't count Uwe Boll's shit fest.....they are not worth mentioning (i.e. too shitty for mortal minds to comprehend).
