Back from a weird drill.

This month was seriously, the strangest drill I have ever been to. When you think "ARMY", I'm sure you think "A lot of guys in uniform doing army training things with guns and stuff."
Well, normally we have at least 15 people show up for drill, not that it's an option not to. A lot of our guys have been mobilized on different missions like Iraq, the border mission, school, etc. It's something the army has been doing a lot of since Iraq rolled around. Instead of deploying a unit as a whole, which is ideal, they'll pick and choose soldiers and send them. It's really a pain in the ass and it destroys unit readiness. This drill only 9 people were around!!! We didn't even have to put on our BDU's, we spent the weekend in our PT's.
And a lot of bull crap fell on our shoulders. We had to do inventory, which is a pain because everything is spread out and names for things are in the crazy army language. The most human unfriendly inventory sheet I have ever seen.
We didn't do any of the classes that were on the schedule. We didn't even do PMCS for any of our equipment! And since I'm such a failure when it comes to physical training, I had to do a lot of push-ups, sit-ups and other various excercizes, I was destroyed on Sunday and Monday (not complaining, I need to do it and pass the test before I can go to school in June.)
As expected, there wasn't much worth taking a picture of, so I'll post a pic of our day room and a couple of sleepers.
