Just got "BLOCKED" by a fourth furry over their maligned political views, simply for not thinking/viewing things their way.
I had no idea the Anthro Fandom bent so far 'Left/Democratic' to the point of the tree-top touching the ground.
Now I know better.
I find it most alarming how so many spout utter nonsense, lacking any proof, following as if lead by their noses by the MSM/Political Party of Choice, instead of actual facts and common sense.

I think 'Furry' is much like any family gathering where the Rule 'No politics, no religion' mandate be present.

I sure's hell haven't enjoyed the past four-plus years of RL, and all the shit thrown in the Furry Fandom has soured my feelings about it, too.

Lucky for me, I was 'Furry', before that was even a word/sentiment, and nothing here or at other sites can change that.

Now, time to find a few bushes to rake my antlers through till I'm exhausted and ready to return to sleep.

it is not just in the furry fandom... every side of every social media IN EVERY COUNTRY is going dramatically to hell!

- 'anti-racist' people with insane reactions and very racist actions and conclusions
- fans of socialism who doesn't know what is socialism and worse than that! they doesn't know a dust of politics!
- childlike and fallacious arguments followed by reports of ruddeness or 'block' and ban
- victimization culture

everywhere you can find that, here from México I've seen that and I have been affected, even I was banned from Facebook 2 times

I often believe we're all living in a Matrix, scripted by the late, great Rod Stirling (of 'The Twilight Zone' fame), things are so skewed ridiculous.

The furry fandom has always been left-leaning but the intolerance towards any viewpoint that is remotely right-wing or conservative has become so intense and fractious that what you are experiencing is now common-place. This is happening more broadly in our society as a whole as well. I think there are two reasons for it: 1) Indoctrination and brainwashing perpetrated by the education system and re-enforced by social media and 2) Politics, particularly identity politics, has taken the place of Christianity as the religion for those on the left who are becoming increasingly "secular." Humans need purpose, they need something beyond themselves to serve as a motivational force, they need to affirm some concept of justice, and they need to turn to something to provide answers and solutions to conflict. For many furries and leftists, the government and social justice serve the role that use to belong to God and religious communities.

I happen to agree with most of what you said. My only difference in what you typed is, I am not Xtian, or any follower of the Xtian Path (Jewish or Muslim). I'm a self-professed 'Heathen/Pagan', who believes in living this life with the moral compass of 'Do unto others...' One thing I do not adhere to? 'Turn the other cheek.' Attack me, you've got an enraged honey badger to cope with! lol
I grew up in a highly racial world. I've been the 'Majority', and I sure's hell have been the 'Minority'. I've lived through Cesar Chavez's marches to see fair employment and living conditions for migrant workers, observed MLK's (REAL) peaceful marches for equality, etc.. I've made my own mistakes, as a child/young adult, but as I grew and began gaining some measure of wisdom? My Service in the Marines, amongst folk from nearly every walk of life and social/racial background imaginable put any residual 'Racial' prejudices in their proper and overdue graves.
We ALL bleed red. We are ALL human beings. People. Done.
Now, it seems the age of gaining maturity and wisdom has risen a couple of decades since my own Journey back in the mid 80's. (I'm Olde. Shush.).
I remember college kids being shot by National Guards while protesting the Vietnam War.
Now I'm seeing college kids, from this SAME COLLEGE, swarming/mobbing/attacking a single female citizen who dares enjoy our 2A (legally), and promotes all our Rights to everyone, no restrictions, but also demands everyone be held accountable for violating other people's literal 'Rights', instead of being granted a *PASS* by our inept 'Law Enfarcement'/Govt./Judiciary'.
These mobs of domestic terrorists? How many g-damned months have we, society, suffered them?
NOW I'm hearing Biden & Crew DARE take the stage and pretend to be for and promote peace and understanding across the country? The very people, and MSM that has spent the past four YEARS, engaged in a campaign of lies, slander, false accusation sans any semblance of proof of collusion, quid pro quo?
I'm personally stunned, and more than a little injured by what I've experienced right here, in the 'Furry Community'. A place where folks from all walks of life, social, political, theological, sexual Paths met under a common interest and so long as that mantra of 'Do Unto Others' was adhered to, got along pretty damned amazingly. These past four years has seen THIS group of mixed folk polarized in a manner that is simply astonishes and depresses the hell out of me. As I mentioned, I've already been *BLOCKED* by four folks I've followed for years. Not because 'I' spouted my political thoughts/views to them, but because 'THEY' choose to insult, cuss, reject 'Me/Anyone else', that DARES not adhere to their own opinion(s). Hypocrisy much?
So now 'Furry' is just as bad as the real world. Great.

Christ, the list of BS just keep growing exponentially, and I never imagined in my wildest, Orwellian-dystopian-level world actually occurring.

My point about Christianity is that it use to be the common denominator in our culture. Most Americans use to derive their sense of meaning and their notion of transcendence from the same basic idea. Now that many have rejected that idea, they are replacing it with a different kind of religion that's extremely dogmatic and tribal. Woke leftists display the same behaviors characteristic of those belonging to a cult. They cannot function rationally in the face of views, arguments, and ideas that they don't like or agree with.
