Commissions Open + Status Update!!
Hey y'all, haven't written a journal in a while. Couple of updates:
-Did two different treatments for my arm, including two-times-a-week visits to a chiro. That was getting really expensive without permanently fixing the problem though, so I've stopped going.
-Arm has been on and off but mostly getting better. I do have some days where it hurts too bad to do anything with still, but it's not EVERY day and it also seems to take me longer to get to that point while working. I've been working back into a schedule that's closer to my normal, and primarily I've been working on my queue + patreon stuff.
-I've also allowed myself to start doing more personal art, which is something I've been struggling with for a LONG time. I've only been full-time freelancing for a few years now, and I was REALLY struggling to let myself make personal art without feeling guilty about not doing paid work instead. I've come to realize that it doesn't help anyone if I'm stressed out and sad all the time because I won't let myself participate in what is essentially my ONLY consistent hobby. Plus, making more personal art means more practice AND more stuff for my followers to see.
-With regards to that, my new scheduling system alternates between "work days" and "break days". on work days, I have a set amount of work that I need to do before I consider myself "done" for the day, and the rest of that day is mine. Break days are meant for recharging if my arm hurts or needs a rest, or for making personal art if I'm feeling okay. I really like how this schedule has been going, even if it does mean that my queue might go slightly slower than usual. That being said, with my arm improving, I think I'm going to be able to fit higher quantities of work into my Work Days. I used to work on about three comms at a time, and I'd like to start getting back to that point.
-I've also started streaming again, though the last couple of streams have just been to encourage me to finish some of the bigger projects in my queue. When I'm more confident in my ability to work for an extended period of time without rest again, I'll start opening up commission streams again.

If you read all of that, thank you!! I really appreciate y'all sticking around. These past couple of months(and hell, this entire year) have been a lot rougher on me than usual. It's been really nice having friends, patrons, and followers to lean back on. My commissions are open again, and will be until further notice. My queue is still fairly long at the moment, but I'm always willing to take bribes for rush orders, especially if you need something in time for the holidays. I'll post all my links below as per usual, and my new info is also in my bio. Thank you again!!
