Sometimes we do it. Personally I think if you take someone's art and credit to yourself it's bad.
In my opinion, if the art is signed then it is not theft.
People get really mad when their art is stolen and not credited.

By legal definition, repurposing art without the explicit consent of the creator and/or owner/subject of the piece--regardless of claiming it as your own or not--is theft and in violation of intellectual property rights and protections. ~shrug~
