Your Fav Comic Artist (Comic TFs)
So as previously stated, I am a huge comic fan. Over the years, there are plenty of examples of artists doing tf scenes in comics. Phil Jimenez did a bunch of great transformations in a Circe storyarc during his Wonder Woman run. Brett Booth drew a man to sow tf in James Robinson’s Justice League run (it was Spectre who did it to a rapist, too, so the punishment was a man turned female pig to get ravaged by boars). Most recently in Dark Nights Metal (the first one, not Death Metal), Drowned Batman (Batwoman?) turned Mera into a hideous sea monster. These are all DC examples, I am sure there are plenty from Marvel, nothing’s coming to mind.
But my question is this... If you could pick a mainstream comic artist to draw a tf, who would you pick?
I know this will sound very 2000ish but I gotta go with J Scott Campbell. He has “evolved” to that loathsome cover-artist-only status — and his covers are all website exclusive premiums — but he’s still great. Detailed yet cartoony. An R-rated Disney artist. Captures likenesses perfectly (look no further than the side characters and cameos in Danger Girl).
So who would YOU pick?
Also feel free to discuss your fav tf scenes/stories in comics.
(I have always been a writer-first fan. No offense to the current artists out there but I am hard-pressed to name a single comic I would buy for the artist regardless of the writer.)
