For those who haven't been following the news, a Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT) just touched down in Afghanistan. It only took them NINE YEARS to get there.
Recall that the Russians lost 1700+ Armored Cars in Afghanistan over 10 years. That's more than FIVE TIMES the size of an SBCT.
And let's not for get how the LAV III (which the Stryker is a watered-down knock-off of) has fared in A'stan;

As you can see by the news stories below, they're already starting to do a great job... of re-enacting the destruction of several Soviet Motorized Brigades (which the SBCT is the "Americanized" form of);

Not to worry, though --- they have the Afghan Army backing them up;

...and the military "leaders" in Afghanistan have some excellent policies;

...oh wait, that's right --- Stryker troops DON'T WEAR seat belts!
Or ignite, whichever's first.
Hooray
