Some people are just odd...

Ok, so in my English class, we've been debating each other about the death penalty. Today we were reading a passage about the brutality of Medieval death sentences. Just as we got done reading the passage, the guy next to me blurted out "Dude, we should STILL draw and quarter murderers!" Yes, forget the fact that our punishments have evolved to be much more moral since then, we need to bring back torture!=D........-_-
Also, later this morning while I was waiting for an elevator to go up to my dorm, a perfectly healthy woman came and waited for an elevator for 10 minutes. Now, you may be thinking "Chinchy, why are you bitching about something like THAT?" Well, probably because she was waiting for the elevator so that she could take it from the lobby to the gym, which is just one floor below the lobby. Maybe because she had to pass the stairs in order to get to the elevator. Maybe because the stairs are about fifteen feet away from the elevators. But the story does have an amusing ending: after waiting or ten minutes, she missed the elevator. And so she "had" to wait for it a second time=3
In short: peeps are weird sometimes O.o

On the other hand, many people would call us "odd" as well, so I guess it all balances it out. ;)
Talk about 'evolution' when your life ends inside of a gaschamber or electric chair and etc.
Sometimes I even wonder who the 'real' murderers are... Yes! those who execute the penalty!
You'd have to be some sick deranged bastard to accept the killing of people, even though they are bad and MIGHT have killed a person... Isolating them from society and making sure they won't get out is enough. We don't want to have blood on our hands because of some simple vengeance? Instead, I'm all for keeping them locked up... in jail they'll learn that crime doesn't pay. (from all the jail stories that I heard)
In that sense, I believe that europe is a bit more civilised in the forms of punishment.
Murder is murder, no matter if you add 'law' to that or not. It is still considered murder in my opinion and I really can't accept anyone that supports this kind of brutal way to show their rights and wrongs.
Again... what if 'you' were innocent!? What if 'you' sat there in that electric chair, about to get roasted to death? Everyone is smiling at you because they think: "Justice for all!" while you think: "I didn't do it! I'm innocent!!" and at that moment the whole world before you collapses.... Their justice... Sadly you can't be a part of it!
There is no such thing as: moral killing... it's only murder with a fancy name!
Killing people is what they did far before our time... let's look towards the future and better ourselves instead of repeating that horrible process over and over again. -_-;
I for one agree with that. =3
