Experiencing the Respawn

Well, if you play video games as often as I do (and if you play anything like the way I do) you've probably seen your character respawn several dozen times. For you, it's instantaneous, and anywhere from meaningless to really frustrating (the extremes). But if you've ever wondered what its like for the game character who went through the respawn, I'm here to shed some light on it.
First off is the moment you bite the bullet. Suddenly its an out-of-body experience, and you see your own body fall to the ground, then fade. But with it, all your physical pain falls away too (sorry, emotional pain is outside its jurisdiction). Then the ground, walls and sky, and everything else fades too. You're in a featureless void for what seems like several breaths. Then you get dropped into your revived body.
Respawning does four things. Your physical pain is gone (emotional pain still there), but lots of your energy is gone too, so you're really sleepy. It also gets you really really hungry, but luckily all the weight you gained in the last 8 hours is gone too. So go nuts. Also, all the food you ate in the last 8 hours is respawned to where you got it. Unles you ate something that was still alive. Incidentally, you don't respawn if you GET eaten alive. You'd have to wait until you become poop, or vomit, or some of both.
So that's that. All in all, respawning can be quite invigorating, and addictive. And if you're the vindictive type, you'll wanna repay whoever KOed you in the first place. If you're the submissive kind (like me), you'll wanna find whoever KOed you so they'll KO you again. Eh, happy respawning n__n
