Facts You Might've Not Known About Shiny Saber

General
*Runs over from Pond* Oh Hoi! :3
Shiny was my 6th character, and he’s my pokesona!
Shiny being my Pokesona has gone over a lot of edits six to be exact (Normal Totodile, Scarfed Totodile (No Powers), Scarfed Totodile (Powers), No Scarf Only Transformation Powers, and Today’s Shiny (Who has no scarf, but a bracelet and a lot of powers.))
Shiny has a Female form named Sparkle
Shiny is the same age as me, 18 right now.
Shiny is a middle child
He is also in the middle of two sets of twins. (Oron and Osher being older twins, and Riptide and Shimmer being younger ones)
Shiny likes being used as items for friends despite having a bad past with using his powers.
Originally Shiny’s parents were gone, at war, or abandoned him. Yet in the newest update to Shiny his parents are looking for him.
Shiny hasn’t actually been used the most out of all my characters
Shiny was started off in a GMOD Rp Server (Which I refuse to name)
Shiny has a cousin and he doesn’t know!
Shiny in reality is like level 70, but hasn’t evolved because he always has an everstone (Either hidden in scarf, or on bracelet (Which also acts as a PMD Badge))
Shiny can’t evolve, because even without the everstone he refuses to. He might want to be strong, but he doesn’t mind being small. He is able to change his form to part croconaw and feraligatr though if needed or wanted.
Shiny can actually control his powers (Aside from when he’s scared)
Finally, Shiny didn’t get a last name until his third update where he first got powers.

And Shine as you call him. Shine Saber. Not Shine Oron Saber. Oron is his brother.
Why exactly would it be sadder to have a character based on yourself that isn't an extreme? That sound more like you are bullying who you are. People don't need to be over the top just to show that they are unique and special.
And it's of course fine to have several sonas if needed just when polarizing on just an emotion alone, that feels like you are more so not exaggerating yourself but just create something that feels neat. That's what a mascot encapsules. Mascots make you happy by extending certain elements that you may like but not necessary are part of your individual personality. But hey, if you feel like that, by any means come up with that kinda solution if you don't mind the details.
Well, no matter how you call your Totodile mascot nowadays akin to beforehand, also not looking too much into how many Shiny the Totodile are out there, simply keep having fun.
The problem with how you treat it is that you seem to not see the person in persona. You rather try to pick apart not traits but simply moods, pop them on adartboard and randomly say,: Make a turquoise Pokémon/Crocodile emphasizing on being happy, the rest is all made up along and while I am also able to be happy like the character, that is just relating to myself over seven crossed bridges.
It's not like you can't have a load of characters picking apart ideas of your personality in them. It just doesn't really leave the impression of a unique person any longer. Instead you do what making a mascot is about, namely giving such characters their unique traits not really much based of your own and if only by random chance.
As said, you can have fun with it that way, no problem. Just the definition has a bit of a misconception and I thought it's better to point that out. Even personality tests can only get certain informations potentially right. It depends of course what you make with it in the end.
You'll figure things out with time.
It really doesn't matter if the character you have is your sona or mascot as long as you have fun expressing your imagination through them.
Just as said, a persona means using a character to emphasize and accepting the true you with all the unique edges and curves of your sou, sometimes even visually through similar body triaits, behaviours, etc.
a mascot means emphasizing the aspects about basically anything that you find enjoyable and giving it a unique expression, its own identity.
If I'd use myself as an example, I can definitely see myself being supportive towards my mascot, us being able to get along through finding common grounds and certain similarities between each of us. We are both different and that's fine. Even if my Shiny the Totodile might not be a representatiion or rather personification of myself, I still can find him lovely and enjoy imaginig how he would do things. ^_^
It's great that you disregard that the only reason for me not having written a proper art feedback for everything since April is based in that I have had a bunch on my plate here. Surgeries, doctors appointments, family matters. I know I'm slow but I won't let anybody accuse me of not caring. >_<'
Have a nice weekend.
And I know you have been going through rough times, I appreciate the fact that you actually care, but it seems like even if you do care you decide to break someone down for doing something... It makes me feel like shit when I draw something, and people just like to point out the problems. Or when I write something and people point out things wrong with it... It doesn't feel good! It's not criticism when you basically say EVERYTHING bad about it... You need to be nice with it... You usually need to say something NICE like "Oh thanks looks good" and then calmly state in a couple lines what you see that's a little off and can be fixed later, or be done better next time!
Have a nice week..
Thanks for calling me out. I appreciate it and will from now on refrain from berating you like you say.

Like in this drawing ^ You gave them ALL the complements AND nothing critical or mean.
I already see what your point is: You just want to be confirmed a 100% or else it's mean. Fine. I will remember that for the future.
And Shiny in RP is an amazing father to Kane and Lilith. Who you can see in some of my art :3
