I think was from gears 2. where Marcus and Dom (the two player characters) wandered into the underground near a stream of emulsion in a raft and Dom notes that the locust are avoiding the emulsion fumes.

then he says "Wait, what happens if WE breathe in this shit"

then marcus replies with "Too late now."


the other quote i remember a lot from it is "We're going to get dysentery from this shit"

Mine is from Undertale. I love how it's delivered too.

At the beginning of the game you find a mirror and when you look into it, it says "It's you." No biggie.

After all the messing up of the story transpires and the plot has revealed itself, you find the same mirror, and when you look into it, it says "Despite everything, it's still you."

Obvious joke aside (yeah, it's a mirror), I find it deep. No matter what you do, you can't escape who you are, or the consequences of your choices. After all, those made you who you are, so no matter how much you want to change, no matter how much you do... despite everything, it's still you.

That's a good one too. "Always be kind." stuck with me from the fanmade AU, Flowerfell, said by Frisk.

I think I missed a lot by not keeping with the Undertale multiverse... I just read about Flowerfell and it has a very interesting premise! Anything you'd recommend for me to read on that?

Flowerfell is definitely my favorite of the AUs as it takes the Underfell AU but puts a twist on it. Here's a youtube vid with the story since the OG authors took it down from tumblr due to a lot of harassment and theft.

I do too. It makes it hit home. I really recommend the 12th doctor. He's really good and has some powerful moments.

News are very toxic. Even if they happen to be right, it has become hard to be informed and stay calm. "That's the point", protesters will say. "If you are informed then you should be enraged."

Not sure about the original context, but in 2020 I'd argue "...must be tempted..." means "ought to be tempted". Each one of us faces injustices every day. Most of them small, fortunately. We all have a limit as to what we'll tolerate, but this limit is way above what most of us will encounter and thus we silently suffer and move on.
