Imagine if everyone had to do this over cases of the common cold or the flu throughout history. It's like people forget that we have an immune system designed to tackle diseases and generate immunity to them. Honestly, this whole 14 days thing is WAAAAY overblown. It's costing us income and costing us our sanity. The science has proven that the survival rate is literally over 99% among health individuals, better odds than the regular flu itself. This whole handling of the coronavirus thing by most of our state's governors has caused FAR more harm than any real good. Honestly, I'm ashamed to be living amongst a society that's acting like cowards afraid of their own shadow. Yes, people get sick. Yes, some people even die. That's part of nature. Muzzling the populace and demanding they isolate themselves from their fellow human beings is going to cause mankind to self-destruct before long. We're not meant to be by ourselves for too long and we thrive off social contact, including things like shaking hands or a hug. And hey, if I were to get sick from this myself and somehow die from it, then so be it. But I'd rather die on my feet than live on my knees through wearing masks and never knowing the feel of a simple handshake or hug anymore. That's not any way to live and seeing countless small businesses going belly-up over this gross overreaction to it just reaffirms my stance on this.

The only time...ONLY time...I wear a mask is at work, where I'm essentially forced to. Even then, I sometimes pull it down off my face. But the moment they try and mandate that I take the vaccine, I'll just tell them to shove that needle right up their ass and walk away from my job! There's a limit to how much of my own dignity I'll concede and it's not going to be much.

Anyway, DG, I'm sorry for my angry rant. It's just seeing society transformed into spineless weaklings wearing masks even when alone in their own cars just makes me ashamed of humanity. Present company (you and me) excepted, of course.
